Why you shouldn't carve too early

We carved our Halloween pumpkins with the neighbours, Gavin and Christina, last weekend (ie. 1 1/2 weeks before Halloween). They looked VERY cool when first done. As below.

Now... it looks like he's been partying all night. He's slumped over the bottom step, he's got filthy mouldy "breath" and he looks spaced out. Oh and I think he wet himself too... :)

Hiya Sarah!

How on earth are you doing? Haven't been keeping up to date with many blogs lately and haven't seen any of your travel shots (or new kittens) for a while now! Love the pumpkins though I got bailed up by trick'n'treaters tonight too!

Hope you and Andrew are both doing well, and your jobs are working out for you. Last I heard you were both, or at least you were working with Google?

I've been fine, and am almost ready to jump into another Half Ironman. The Port Macquarie one is on this weekend - and I'm also planning on getting down to Canberra for their Half Ironman in December, even though it's lost the IM slots for this year. Were you still heading home for Chrissy? Would be good if you were here on 17th Dec when the Canberra race is on! Have to catch up with CJ, strewth, flashduck and yourself again soon :)

Now, there has to be another reason for me finally getting around to catchinig up with you! I was wondering whether you were still able to possibly send some stuff back into Australia? There's a set of wheels I'm looking at currently - they're in California, but it's a private sale and I'm sure the guy wouldn't be keen on posting them back himself. He's offering free postage to anywhere in the US, and I guess you wouldn't be too far away from where he is either. But I understand if it's a bit hard for you to arrange for shipping a set of wheels back over here. I mean, they're not a pair of gloves or a pair of knicks are they!

So let me know if this is a bit too much of an ask. I'll then ask him to see what he can do.

So cheers - keep the piccies coming on the blog!!

Take care matey - can't believe you're still having visits to those dental savages. Hope it's not too much more painful than the wisdom teeth were :(

Cheers ... Andrew
